Join us at the next CTGB workshop: Tuesday, September 30, 10-12:30, Burlington, MA, as we explore effective ways of connecting with and communicating your story.
Topic: Tell me about yourself?
When you reflect on your story, what do you see? Do you see a series of jobs, a career or a calling?
This workshop will help you look at your career story with fresh eyes, and discern your “life task” or mission. Clarity around your mission creates context and an overall direction to your job search and your life choices. Once you see and feel the connection between the positions you are applying for and our mission, energy will come through when you are asked that question: tell me a little about yourself?
Being able to tell your story has become a critical new competency. Stories come from your past, and are told to inform and chart the course for your future.
This workshop explores ways to effectively connect with and communicate your story.
Bring a copy of your cover letter and résumé and interview.
Facilitators: Tom McDonough and Deborah Burkholder, career coaches from Appia (www.getAppia.com).
